Granted, it is isolated, but it's not like it's a 2 hour drive to get to any place worth going. Pretty much anywhere you want to go can be within 15 minutes. If the ONLY reason you're going to college is to party, you probably want to steer clear of GV. GV provides a first rate education to their students. And it may seem like a small thing, especially to entering freshman, but profs are SO easy to talk to and get help from, and they actually know the names of their students! I'm headed for U of M at the end of next year, and part of the reason I got in was because the students who previously went to U of M from GV did SO well in the program because of the great education they had. Now that's saying a lot. Some people seem to think that everone who attends GV is closed-minded and stuck up. But that is simply NOT the case. Just because it is in a conservative, religious area does not at all mean students are stuffy. College is what you make of it. Make the best of it, get involved… and you'll have a GREAT time. I wouldn't trade GV for any other school. Oh yea… and live on campus. It makes college that much better. |
