SMSU is a bad choice for anyone interested in employment outside of Springfield, MO. This is especially true if the student intends on seeking employment in the Kansas City or St. Louis markets upon graduation. Preference is given to KU and MU graduates in this market, and the students decision ot attend SMSU may be viewed as a character flaw to some employers. Furthermore, on campus recruiting is extremely weak. Most of the major employers recruit heavily at MU or KU but do not spend much time at SMSU. |
