Elon is awesome, if you loved high school. It is a very small school, in the middle of nowhere, so this is your world for 4 years and not much else. If you value close, personal relationships with people and you don't need 20 keg blowouts like at some big state school, come to Elon. That is not to say the party atmosphere is bad, but 300 people at a party is considered huge. Also, there are two types of kids at Elon…the partiers (like myself) who go out five nights a week and still somehow pull a 3.4, and the bible-thumpers, who go to Christian groups five nights a week. They usually don't intersperse. The faculty really cares, the grounds are impeccable, and everything is very accessible without a car. Another thing to remember is how huge Greek Life is at Elon. If you aren't a bible-thumper, you better be interested in Greek Life, b/c that is the social scene after freshman year. All in all I love Elon and would not go anywhere else. |
