Statistical Analyzer:

I was a student at Moscow University Touro. The main problem there was that different rules apply to different people. If you want an easy degree and you have a dad with no neck that likes gold chains and violence you've found the right place to go- you'll pass all the exams even if you dont show up. Everyone else is treated very poorly.

One time the administration held an assembly to tell us that one of the schools computers had beens stolen, and that to pay for it all the students would have 3/4 of their library deposits taken. So around 200 students had $75 dollars taken from $100 deposits. They didnt care when students complained that those deposits could only be taken if we damaged or failed to return materials to the library. So they took the deposit money from around 200 students- thats $15,000 they stole. When we asked why they needed so much for a computer they told us it wasnt any of our business. When we asked to see a police report for the stolen computer, or a receipt for the new computer they told us we have absolutely no right to see their financial statements. A few students got the money back when they threatened to complain to the schools accrediting agency, but 99% of the students didnt get their stolen money back.

The university does get some really good professors, but they cant keep them. I had four really good professors that I liked leave the university while I was there because the administration wasnt paying them on time, treated them poorly, and lied to them. They can't hire professors as fast as they quit and so we had professors teaching subjects like corporate finance and accounting that had no idea what they were talking about.

Also, many placement exams are invitation only. Certain people, friends of the administration, will be told when a placement exam is being held while everyone else isnt. Those who arent lucky enough to be invited get stuck in pre-algebra or english 99 regardless of their abilities.

There are so many other serious problems at Moscow University Touro, but I'm tired of even thinking about the place. Whenever you want to do study abroad be very careful.
