There are more things to do here than just party. I have found my niche and group of friends, and it's great. We go out to eat on State Street, hang out, watch movies, chill and study at coffeehouses, and dance, go to football games - go Badgers! This campus is beautiful and there are many places to study where you can look at the lake. Not a bad distraction :0) If you want some quiet part of campus, you can walk along lakeshore to get away from the bustle of downtown Madison. It's overall a very cute midwestern town with many things to do and places to go for students. Many of the students here are very driven and work very hard during the week. Some party, but there are enough that don't. Once you find your niche and take advantage of all the opportunities, you'll be fine. You have to be really motivated and know how and where to get info because advising isn't that great. Some of the profs are bad, but some are very good. Most of the TAs I've had so far have been helpful. Overall, it's a great school and I'm glad I chose it as an out of state person :0) Go Badgers! |
