I graduated a little over a year ago and have since vowed never to set foot on that campus again. This school has some serious issues, and even good Christian people seeking spiritual and academic growth often cannot handle the extra baggage. I have never been to a more socially awkward place filled with that many completely fake, self-absorbed people. There's an unsettling combination of rich snobs combined with a large percentage of people who seem to have just been living in a bubble their whole life. Don't be decieved by the fake smiles and friendliness that most freshmen and transfers find themselves greeted by. It's all a big, painful joke. The faculty, on the other hand, are wonderful, acessible, and helpful. They actually care (!) about their students. The campus is beautiful and the food is great, although it seems to have dropped off somewhat in recent years. Still, despite some of the positive points of light, I should have tried to salvage my college experience by transferring to a more "normal" college. |
