The only helpful thing I came away from KU, which is different than most schools, was the Co-op experience. I do not use most parts of my degree or any of the classes I took in school in my everyday job functions. I honestly can say that everything I learned, that I use in my job now, I learned at my Co-op employer. Having said that, I would NOT recommend anyone attend KU. There are more and more universities employing the Co-op education principles, and those schools will have a more fulfilling university life than can be found at Kettering.

I enjoyed my extra curricular activities (Sorority, WRC, SWE, etc.), but would like to have been able to go to a major football or basketball game. The "normal" university experience is just not available at Kettering. Neither is brand recognition. Let's just say that my resume says GMI Engineering & Management Institute on it rather than Kettering University. GMI gets a lot more nods from HR and recruiters than KU.
