I was a weak and insecure person when I first went to Bob Jones. The structure helped me to develop character. But individual thought is not valued and often thought of as a threat. The absolute power of those in authority is troublesome, especially when restrictive rules are put in place in the name of God and the Bible (though the Bible never addresses the specifics).
