Of course, there were ups and downs, but I enjoyed it all, looking back. I was involved in the student newspaper, which took up a lot of time, but I still found time between that and classes to make good friends. As a journalism and poli sci major, I was in mostly smallish classes (especially junior and senior years), and my professors were always willing to make time for me. The journalism school is definitely one of the university's strengths and gave me opportunities to speak to recruiters and get in-the-field journalism experience. |
