Honestly, the education portion of my preparation was outstanding. The music portion of my preparation made it difficult to succeed in graduate school, however, through perseverance, I was able to succeed in graduate school and I instruct a class at the University. In addition, I served as SGA (Student Government Association) President during my tenure at Paine. Because of this and other leadership opportunities, my leadership abilities were enhanced. In addition, as a graduate assistant at a New England University during graduate school, I was named the Freshmen Honor Society's Teacher of the year marking the first time this award had not been given to a full professor of the University. Currently, Paine College is working with the motto, You Can Get There from Here. The road is not going to be easy, in fact, most things worth anything take time and perseverance. I am here as living proof that you can not only get there from Paine College, but you can get there and SUCCEED there from Paine College. |
