I had a wonderful experience at ETBU, and have encouraged others to consider attending also. I do think, though, that many times you get out of something what you put into it. The friends that I made while attending are a prize, and I can't imagine not knowing them. I had great roommates during my 4 years (we all had quirks, but the quality of the students is solid for the most part). It's a close-knit community of people who become like a family over time.

Academically, I learned a whole lot in my chosen field (business) in addition to a broad spectrum of other fields taught at the school. Perhaps most importantly, I was taught HOW to think for myself, rather than being taught to blindly believe what others profess to be true.

When it came time for me to apply for admission into graduate school, the faculty and administration were willing to help me by writing references and discussing various options with me.

Spiritually, I grew not only in knowledge, but also in practicing my faith. I know of no other place where a student can put their faith into practice in as many ways as are available through ETBU's campus and community ministries.

The only thing I would say negatively is that not many people outside of Texas have heard of this school, so the prestige factor isn't high. However, that makes it more fun to run into another former student unexpectedly. If you're looking for a quality education in an environment that encourages growth and development, then you should consider ETBU.
