I am tired of hearing all this negative stuff about St. John's. To anyone reading this- IT IS NOT TRUE. St. John's is probably one of the best colleges in the NY area period and in the top nationally. I really and truly do not know what people write this negative stuff, maybe kids who have failed out or who never talked to anyone. This university is GREAT. I love it here. I don't want to leave when it comes to that day.The Journalism department is top notch, and provides students with what they need to go on and become journalists. There are also great journalism contacts in NYC because so many of the succesful NYC journalists went to St. Johns. The campus is beautiful. From the second I walked onto it, on the Open House, I knew it was where I just had to be. Did you ever go to Disney World, and it feels like you are actually in your own little world? That's exactly how it feels on campus. They have everything. The residence village is breathtaking. They are so modern and nice that again, it feels like you are walking in a little world of its own.The people here are nice, but you have to actually meet them, like anywhere. If you sit alone, you will sit alone, here or anywhere else.Sports, WOW! On campus, there is its own indoor basketball court, a huge soccer field and baseball field. A athletic center is currently under construction which will have more sports facilities, including for all students. Here is a stupid rumor that just makes me mad when I hear it: That St. John's is in a bad area. THIS IS NOT TRUE. IF YOU WALK OUTSIDE THE CAMPUS, THERE IS A VERY NICE AREA CALLED UTOPIA AND JAMAICA ESTATES, BOTH UPPER-CLASS AREAS WHICH LOOK LIKE A SUBURBAN TOWN, THAN QUEENS,NYC. It gets me so mad when people lie and say its bad outside. All I can say is please don't take the word of these people. Go see it yourself, its great! One thing I love is you can see The Empire State Building from the back of the campus. The people here are also very nice, they are great and so are the faculty.St. John's is a great school. I was accepted into NYU, Fordham, and Hofstra. But I chose St. John's and I am glad I did. Even if NYU or the other schools would let me go for free, and I still had to pay for St.John's, I would go to St.John's.See it yourself, please, I beg of you, don't listen to these people on this website, they are lying, I don't know why they are trashing the university (it could be just a few people trying to hurt St. John's University).Go to St. John's yourself, look at it website and take a virtual tour of the residential village. You will most likely love it. St. John's is NYC'S university. You can E-mail me with questions or comments at _email_removed_ |
