I came in as a normal Southern Baptist kid—did I say Southern Baptist—oh dear@! Needless, to say I spent my first year at school in a state of shock. I listened to Steve Green and that made me a horrible Christian. My second year I finally got the hang of things and I lived terrified that some other kid would take something wrong that I said and turn me in. I turned into someone that was perinoid to live life. I was terrified to wear pants because someone from the school might get the wrong impression of me and put me on Spiritual Probation. By the time I graduated I didn't know who God was anymore. It has taken me many years to recover from that school. Just now—with a spiritual counselor—I am re-learning that God IS love. As incredible as it may sound, just coming to the point to where I can make this statement out load has been a long journey for me. If you are a young Christian looking to go to Christian school—don't go here. Go to Ceaderville or Cornerstone. |
