It is an unbelievable accomplishment not to have a great time at Duke. The resources are there to pursue any area of acedemia and any extracurricular activity, there are people of all sorts of backgrounds, ideologies, and interests with whom to interact, the teaching is never complained about (and I've found it to be amazing) and there are infinite ways to have fun during the week and on weekends. Besides all of these, the campus is amazing. I cannot think of a more well-rounded, friendly, national, and supportive institution free of the suffocating pretention of some other schools (think Harvard). Every time I visit a friend at a different school, be it UMich or Brown, I am so thankful I go here and that I got in. If you are a social, bright, energetic, and creative person I strongly suggest you come here. |
