They work you really damn hard. Lot's of people complain that professors upper tier schools do not provide adequate face time outside the classroom. If you realized the enormous pressure that these people are under to continue their own work while teaching, you would just wake up and go to their office hours. Although I agree some professors do play favorites in the arts courses, I have had numerous instances when similar personal bias's occur in humanities and sciences. I do not think it is unique to CMU, just kiss a lot of ass and youll be ok. Pittsburgh is ok. It rains a lot. |
