I am a female student from the DFW area and have been at Tech for 2 years now. Overall, I can honestly say the Tech is one in a million. If you like small town values like friendly and genuine people, then Tech is a good match for you. I am in a sorority here, and have had a great experiance with it thus far. The guys here are very hott, and very outgoing & usually gentlemen. It is not uncommon to have guys open doors, and/or get out of seats for you if there are none left. The social scene here is a great balance between the Greek and NonGreek students. There is always something fun to do…PARTYS. It just depends how willing you as a person to go out and find it. Lubbock is a little dead as a town, but if you're a student here, you will quickly find that that doesn't matter. Another cool thing here is our Sports. The football, basketball, and baseball teams are all really good and fun to watch. When deciding where to go, I had it narrowed down to TECH, A&M, and TCU. I know I definatley made the right choice!
