You get what you giveright up at top, the instructors aren't here to hold your hand, they are here to show us some methods and let us free, then show us what works and does not work, over and over and over until we are able to do this without their aid. Granted some should not be teaching, but its just as easy to change classes and show the administration that so'and'so's class sucks, as it is to just write nasty comments about the whole school. But as long as you are putting yourself into your works, and actually listening to what is said, there is no reason that you cannot grow. These people are not just some hacks, they are from the industry, where we would like to end up.(hopefully, otherwise what are you doing complaining about/and going to this school if you dont want to be a professional artist?) These people have already made their way into the industry and know what it takes, you just have to be sure that you are in a class with one that is able to convey what they know, to you.All of this said, I am very happy with my department, my classes and my growth. |
