OSU is the 2nd largest campus in the US and this should be the first thing people know. Classes the first couple of years will be large (100+) but as you focus more on your major they will get much smaller and you will have more opportunities within your major as far as work and professors. The best thing about OSU I found is opportunity. OSU offers a ton of majors that I would have never even thought of so if you ever have a spare class there's always something interesting, or if you are undecided on a major, this is a really good school to go to.

In my GEC classes I found the professors hard to talk to or work with but in my major classes I found the profs to be very supportive and are there to help you and support your learning and education, which is very nice.

Though there are hundreds of clubs/organizations on campus to join and be involved in, all of the ones I found were very exclusive…if you don't know much about the subject or just have an interest in it, people aren't interested in helping you get involved. However if you are really into the subbject of a club you will fit right in.

The dining services on campus aren't that great but many restaurants and eating places nearby have excellent food and you can use your student id card at many of them.

Campus safety is terrible. It's not a very safe city and there are often riots especially after football games, but if you live off campus you can find really nice places and easily commute to campus.

OSU offers many resources…from writing labs to an endless list of advisors (though you may have to 'try many out' to find a good one), career services and all of these are really great at OSU. So as long as you work hard and use the resources OSU will help you find a job after school.

Another thing people should know is that OSU is not a 4-year school. Although it is possible to graduate in 4 years you have to work hard at it. Most students are 5 or 6 year students. But as long as you enjoy going to classes this isn't such a bad thing, as OSU is a nice place to spend 5 or 6 years.
