College is a tremendous opportunity to gain not only book knowledge, but social interaction, living on your own and job training. Internships are by far the most important thing about going to college. Make sure you get an intership that is DIRECTLY related to what you do and, if you can, with the company you want to work for. Once there, work your buns off, sit back, listen, ask questions and do anything they ask of you. Often times, companies will hire their best interns or, at the very least, you'll gain a network of people that will help once you hit the job market. |
