Understand that when you go to elon, you should know what to expect. Yeah..there are the snotty, rich kids—but this stereotype shouldn't be put on everyone. Past reviewers stated that there aren't many individualists. However, I always walk around with my good friend with his hair down to his shoulders while wearing a Tool shirt. I have friends that would rather burn alive then wear a polo shirt. I walk around with my earing in all the time. I also drive a mid 90s domestic sedan—obviously i'm not rich or appearing rich. Myself and many of my friends rely heavily on financial aid. Also, most of my close friends aren't greek—because of lack of funds and enthusiasm. It's always hard in life to find those that really care about you, and Elon is the same. The academics are becoming excellent, with the University becoming more reknowned and competitive. I am an honors student, but had I applied this year it would have been impossible to be in the program.
