BU is an excellent education but highly overpriced. The administration treats students like a cross between a social security number and an ATM card. The campus could be in much better shape, particularly the dorms and the College of Arts and Sciences.

The student body is very stratified with the student union feeling like the Balkans at times. The athletes, Asians, and euro-trash all keep to themselves and every group seems to have a dorm of their own e.g. Philosophy House, Spanish House, etc. Moreover, there is very little school spirit and the social scene is pretty bleak without being 21 or having a fake I.D.

The faculty for the most part is very good. The only down side is that many of the required courses are taught by teachers assistants who have a very poor command of English. These teachers assitans are difficult if not impossible to understand what they are saying. This becomes comical when these courses also have many English as a second language students. Also, Boston is a wonderful place to be for college.
