For the amount I was paying it was a good deal. However, I have found many of the professors have no idea how to teach. Some read the power point slides that come with textbooks to you. The slides are just condensed versions of the textbook, but the teacher expects you to attend lecture anyway. Other teachers will assign a lot of work, but none of the TAs or teachers really understand how it is done. Everyone would spend hours working on Systems problem sets that weren't too hard, but the teaching just didn't prepare us to do them. (also the problem sets didn't come out of any books) I have tried to enjoy things at Drexel, but the prevailing attitude is a hatred of the school. Since it is on the quarter system it makes transfering out kind of hard. Campus activities are rather uninteresting, but they are there. There are some extremly smart teachers and students who go hear. Some classes are extremly well taught, but these by far will be the rarity in your education at Drexel |
