UCLA is an excellent school.

CAMPUS: The campus is gorgeous. I remember sitting infront of the beautiful water fountain (between Royce and Powell) read, work on projects, and write term papers with a checked lap top (yes… you can check out lap tops from the school library free of chrage). Students can enjoy the great view of the campus and at the same time work on their school work.

ACADEMICS: UCLA has great professors whom 90% of the time make themselves available for students to visit and ask questions. They are highly educated, well known in their field, intelligent, approachable, flexible, and helpful. School work is quite challenging, but UCLA provides excellent learning environment. There are numerous libraries at UCLA (to name a few on top of my head… Powell Library, Young Research Library, Medical library, Law library, Asian American Library, Art library, and etc…). Students can easily access a computer or check out a lap top. Most libraries are open on the weekends and sometimes are 24 hours.

DORMITORY/FOOD: Dorm rooms are pretty crowded; three of them are actually pretty far from the campus and on top of the hill. Dorm food, however, is great. Menu changes everyday. Food comes from all over the world. Not only students are able to have their traditional bread, potato, beef/chicken, and salad but also get a taste of South American, European, and Asian/Pacific Islander food. For those that do not have the habit of having a full breakfast, grab a smoothy or juice. UCLA dining hall also provides fresh fruit juice/smoothy early in the morning.

On campus, food is almost everywhere. Medical, science, mathematics students can access the hospital cafetery and the Bombshelter. Acreman Union has a restaurants on the second floor and a food court on the third floor. The North Campus has two major cafeteries that host several restaurants. The Big One is an excellent deal for early birds who wants a decent breakfast (pancake, tattertots, egg, bacon) for $1.

There are many more good things to say about UCLA. For those who's truly interested in the school, contact me via email.
