Accept some responsibility for your LIFE and stop blaming your school, as the last person said. I was always popular in high school, but I never actually liked the people I knew. At CMU everyone is brilliant, creative, kind, and inspiring. So what if people are, in general, a little more geeky than your high school? Deal with it. I love the people here. Oh, and as shallow of a comment as this is, I feel the need to clarify that geeky does NOT mean ugly. In the real world it is usually a skewed take on intelligence Also, I should point out that the CMU architecture program is renowned for being a painful experience. I know many people who love it, but they are all hard-working types. It does not suprise me that almost all of the CMU reviews on this site are excellent… as they deserve to be… but when you look up the architecture program specifically you see that they have eight responses (people tend to reply to these things when they are angry about something) that are very negative. Do be warned that architecture is hard. Yes, kids, Carnegie Mellon is a competitive school. Yes, that does mean it is hard. It isnt unecessary work—you learn from everything. Get over it. |
