This is a huge school. Each major has its own type of students. You will find that those majoring in humanities seem to be more vocal and self-righteous. I loved this place. But you also have to remember that it is very diverse. This is a good thing, but is comes with complications. Since there are so many different kinds of people, you can find other people just like you very easily. When this is possible, the student body becomes very segregated because you are not forced to interact with people different than yourself. Here is a real world example of what I am talking about. Have you noticed that predominantly Chinese strip malls often do not have the name of the store in English? Do you ever wonder why this is? You would figure that they want to maximize the people coming into their respective stores. But here is the thing. There are so many Chinese in California that they do not need to make their signs in English. And this happens at Berkeley. There are so many different kinds of people that you can only hang out with people like yourself. When I was there, there existed a Cambodian pre-vet society. Enough said.

If you can get though, I highly recommend this school.
