It is in the city, has wonderful academic programs, comprised of a unique, diverse student body, and provides an overall outstanding college experience. Everyone I know loves it here. The only people that don't like VCU are people who couldn't get into other schools and frankly it's best that they go ahead and transfer along with their negativity. VCU maybe easier to get into than say, William and Mary, but that says nothing of its total academic experience. VCU has a strong network of successful alumni all across the nation and in the world especially in the areas of medical research, mass communications, art, and public affairs. VCU is truly a rare treasure. It takes a different type of student to attend VCU, and for the 29,000 plus people who attend, most are happy to be part of such a forward-thinking, urban research university. |
