Cal offers so many things—academic rigor, undergraduate research opportunities, wonderful school spirit, and students who come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. For those who choose to attend UC Berkeley, I highly recommend joining at least one student organization while you're there. It's one of the best ways to meet new people. Berkeley isn't for everyone, so I highly recommend checking out the campus prior to making your decision.
