The biggest problem with PCC is the accreditation. If you're planning on being a pastor or in the ministry accreditation isn't a problem, but for those who aren't going into ministry accreditation is. I'm planning on teaching and it isn't realistic for me to teach only at Christian schools or stay in the little pool of schools that accept my education from PCC.

As far as rules go I understand PCC rules and in SOME cases I like some of them, but then again a lot are just silly. Coming to PCC I feel as if I'm back in high school only with more rules.

As far as the campus goes it is like it's own town. They want to provide you with everything you need so you don't have to leave, and they make it hard for you to leave. You are basically sheltered as much as possible, and for girls it's even worse. Girls have to go off campus with at least two other girls. Everyone has to say where they're going and when they'll be back. You have to check in and out and if you don't you get demerits. They keep extremely close tabs on you. If you want to be able to go to movies or watch movies, listen to almost any music but PCC-approved, watch tv other than the 5:30 news with Peter Jennings, stay up past 11:00 p.m., have your window open without getting in trouble, etc. PCC probably isn't your best choice. I had three friends get kicked out in one semester…you feel like you always have to watch your back because it's so easy to do something wrong.

It's education though is pretty good. I've learned a lot in the one semester I've been there, but does that outweigh the rules and no accreditation? I don't think so. I'm planning on looking at some accreditated Christian colleges for next year.

For some people PCC is great, but for others who aren't used to being homeschooled or going to a Christian school it is definitely culture shock (I've done both, but now that I can make my own decisions PCC rules just aren't realistic. Sure they may 'protect you' but if you feel like you know the difference from right and wrong you can generally protect yourself well enough). You don't really even get experience Florida(go to the beach…) you are just stuck in the town of PCC.

I did like chapel and church. Pastor Schettler is great.
