RIT immerses you in the major. i'm glad they did, i loved it, and my dorm neighbor who left- better she find out engineering is not what she planned freshman year. not at some other school where you don't actually do your major till junior year. if your like me, know what field you want to be in-its perfect. facilities, equipment and research is amazing. professors are seriously dedicated.(NOT your typical state school prof who leaves after each class and only cares about their tenure) can always have a chat with RIT profs outside class. socially, had a great time. i'm really outgoing and involved in many activities. met some commuters who showed me around town. Rochester has some nice restaurants; Letchworth State park is gorgeous! Took several trips to Canada. there were some dorm slugs who never left. i suspect those were the ones who said they had a bad time. get off the couch! good luck, make sure the school you choose is a good fit for you. |
