KCAI gave me the technical art skills and the business and life knowledge that I do not think I could have gotten anywhere else. Art is not as easy of a field as many think and KCAI prepared me to work my butt off and get what I wanted out of the art world. My sculpture professors were some of the top in their field, owning prestigous galleries, getting huge federal and city grants for public art work for themselves and their students and always being there to help with a technical or conceptual problem. The facilities are not rivaled by anywhere in the country, even grad schools, and students can work with materials and techniques that no one else can, and safely too. The community is great and those that may say otherwise are bitter becasue they did not expect to be pushed as hard as students are at this school. It is not an easy ride but it is sure worth it. I wouldnt trade it for the world |
