I am a strong independent thinker, and I believe my Wheaton education helped to develop that aspect of me. I was eager to continue my education in literature through a Master's degree but was disappointed with the lack of close working relationships between students and professors I found at a larger university—Wheaton had spoiled me. When I went into teaching, Wheaton had provided me with both a model of pedagogy and with the knowledge and skills necessary to become an outstanding educator. If you can stand the size and don't mind the somewhat isolated location, Wheaton is an excellent choice. |
