Huge school with plenty of resources. Always something to do, and plenty of organizations to get involved in. I mostly came for the school of engineering, which was a great choice. The Women in Engineering Program is the best. I highly recommend female prospective engineers to consider this school. Now, particularly on the Mechanical Engineering department. I find it very impressive, with a great faculty, only a few bad eggs in the bunch, and that's usually just because they're too busy with their own research to care about the worthless undergraduate student. Most of the faculty is great, helpful, and willing to take time to talk to you whenever. My programming professor toured me around his robotics lab last week just because I walked into his research office. It was really cool. The staff is great too. The advisors are really knowledgeable and always available to help if there are scheduling issues (which as an engineer there always will be). |
