To those of you who are going to or already transfered into the school: Be Careful. Make sure you are on top of everything, and you read all the fine print. Make sure you know what your transcript is going to include..especially those who were in honors programs at their previous schools (the honors designation will most likely not be acknowledged, and will be removed from your transcript…which is something I am currently challenging). And make sure you ask the head of your department as many questions about your dars or requirements or anything that pops in your head. make yourself heard and known.

and here's why: majority of the people arent interested in helping you. especially as a transfer. also, if you went to a community college, they tend to discriminate against you and your education. (which is also something i'm challenging) They are too caught up in themselves and the idea that this is the ivy of the SUNY schools. and they will belittle the quality of the education you received at your cc. which will effect the way your classes transfer over. And You won't even realize what they do or have done..unless you discover it yourself by reading all the fine print on your dars and ask a lot of questions. There is a huge chance you will get screwed over in the end unless you pay attention.
