The fact that the program for elementary majors also includes becoming certified in special education was a HUGE help when looking for my first job. I work at an elementary school with 2 other PC alums, and our principal has said more than once that she likes first year teachers from PC because you can't really tell that it's their first year. I can say without hesitation that the education department at PC was key in preparing me for the real world of teaching. |
