Most people are easy to approach and friendly. Also, most students are from either PA or NJ. There is definitely a lack of multicultural interaction, though. I have found that many fellow students have simply never been exposed to other races, classes and cultures. This makes them appear to be close-minded at first, when in fact they have simply never imagined a difference in opinions/values/religion. It seems the root of this problem is a lack of exposure, not intentionally offensive behavior or close-mindedness (for the most part). Also, there is a sense of entitlement which sometimes leads to arrogance and snooty behavior. |
