I had no problem being accepted elsewhere for graduate school, and have had a successful life as a musician. While I no longer work for pay in that field, it continues to be a part of my life through volunteer work with youth, and with my own children. I would point out that my pedagogy classes and education electives have definitely benefited my current career choice, which is being a home educator. My children needed gifted/talented services, which are not offered through our district, and I felt like I had a strong traditional education base on which to build the program I have created to serve my children's needs. I have begun graduate coursework at another university here in the Northeast, and have consistently finished as the top student in my classes there; I believe that I am continuing to build on a strong educational foundation, which was laid at PCC. |
