Overall, I had both a challenging and great experience at PCC. Although the rules were strict and the standards high, those were okay for me at that time in life. I'm older now and a little wiser, therefore, I make better judgment calls. As teens and away from home, students need that "shelter" to keep away from trouble. Being in that type of environment helped me focus on my education. I was still able to balance a social life. However, the classes were tough, and the clinicals even tougher. As far as the nursing program is concerned, they really need to be more lenient with the criticl points system. I'm an RN now and am around nursing students constantly from local schools, and they have never been through or even heard of critical points received for mistakes; but yet those nurses are fine on the field once they graduate.
