Four years at PCC were different than they would have been elsewhere. It was hard - academically, socially, and spiritually - but after it was over, the sense of accomplishment cannot be compared to anything else. I am a pretty smart person so I suppose I learned more in school than some would have. Academically, I came into the field knowing everything I needed for a mid-level position. My salary doubled in less than three years. Even after being accepted without even the slightest hesitation by two graduate schoools, I chose one and found myself having learned more in undergrad the majority of my classmates. Socially, I learned the value of relationships in a deeper level than I could have elsewhere. I was hurt - just like any adult has been. I was limited - just like any disciplined adult has been. Overall, it was good for me. Some like spirituality handed to them on a plate. Others like to look for it. Others like to make it up as they go. I was challenged like I have never been before. I was not the same person who started school. I am not the same person who left. We live. We learn. We grow.
