Going to NCSU was the best decision I ever made. It was the best time of my life, and I'm back there for my MS degree. I felt at home immediately and in no time I was in the Wolfpack Club seating screaming my head off at games. I made great friends, both inside and outside of the Greek system, which is present but not overwhelming as on other campuses.Parts of the campus are absolutely beautiful, while others not so much. Lounging on the hill on the Court of NC in between classes with tons of friends on a nice spring day is one of my favorite memories. That and Brent Road parties, which died after 1999 unfortunately.I never felt like I needed a car to get anywhere since everything was pretty easy to get to, and I had plenty of friends offering rides when I needed them. Glenwood bars in downtown Raleigh have been improved since I graduated and came back, and now the night life is a million times better than it was in the 90s.I only had a few really large classes, like physics, biology, and calc. But I always thought my TAs were helpful, if really dorky. :)I have gotten great jobs and alumni ties are strong. NCSU is an awesome place and I can't think of too many people who didn't love it. |
