The administration is very friendly, but the rules are strict. I did not see this as a bad thing because I went to college to learn and to get a quality education. That I did! I learned more than I ever thought was possible. The courses were very challenging, but after graduating,I found I was better prepared in my field than other new nurses with whom I was being hired. I am not a "party girl"; therefore the amount and the quality of social interaction was agreeable with me. I preferred to hang out with friends and go to the beach. Those who want to bar hop and party in such ways would probably get kicked out of this college. The college is founded on Christian principles, and thus the rules are based. The faculty is very helpful—they take extra time to help those that struggle. I did not find that to be so at another college I attended. I found one professor/ instructor to appear condescending; however, I do not believe this was her intent. After I spent time with her, I changed my opinion—she was brilliant and had a difficult time "dumming it down!" I loved PCC, created many lasting friendships, and have been back to visit the campus on a few occassions. The campus is only becoming more beautiful and providing more assets to the students. The students have changed. It is true that they are not as friendly as once were; however, the vision of Dr. and Mrs. Horton still remains . . .to provide a Godly education in a Christ-centered environment. For my education and memories I will always be thankful! |
