As a black person, I learned so much about the history of my people. This was the only good thing that I saw after I graduated. On the negative side. I felt like we were being coddled. The level of expectation at Lincoln is not consistent with the real world. The knowledge of an A from the Physics dept would probably equal a C or D at schools like College Park or Penn State. This made it very difficult to continue in that field because I knew I didn't know what I should've despite being an A student. If I'd known this, I wouldn't have attended LU. I recommend students to find out not only how a school's overall education is ranked but also the departments of that school. There are some departments at Lincoln that can compete with some of the better schools. I advise students to choose their school based on that information. |
