The major problem is the lack of intellectual diversity: there is only one possible viewpoint—the far left. Thus, much of my time was wasted listening to propaganda.

U Mass is a large university, with all the advantages and disadvantages that implies. As with all large schools, you can find your nitch eventually.

Personally, I liked the Amherst area.
