Of greater value than the education I received were the friends I made, the mentoring I received and the character building rules that kept me in line. I would gladly trade the party society and free rules of my sister's State University for the rigid and at times trying rules of PCC. From those rules, I learned integrity, promptness and the ability to work with the "system" which is not unlike what we face in working for any business or corporation. That flexibility allows us to succeed in any job. After being out of school for 13 years, I've learned life's success depends more on the person and less on the knowledge they gain while in school. As a father of 3 (soon to be 4) children, married for 9 years, and now leading a team of 26 people, I would say that attending PCC was a key step in equipping me for success. |
