the school is relatively small. average class size is anywhere from 15-25 students.most teachers are creative, motivated, insightful and personable. most teachers i had (9) will remember your name and will even have pleasant conversations with you outside of class. i am only taking liberal arts classes because my major is business but there really isnt any business classes here. if you are not from maui, you may find life on campus extremely boring where people wont approach you to meet you, you have to approach them but most a willing to be friends. the best place to make friends outside of the classroom on campus is probably the cafeteria which closes at like 2pm. there is no campus life. people come and go. i am local to maui so i dont depend on school for my fun. if you have a car or a friend with a car, then you should have no problems keeping yourself occupied when not in school by exploring the island, going to beaches, hiking, etc… i am only here to get my credits to transfer out to a university. i been here for a year now and i am ready to get off this island to experience the real college experience. come here only if you have to come here, in my case, this is the only post education on maui and i couldnt afford to go anywhere else. a year here is more than enough i cant wait to get out of here. |
