I was one of the oldest in my class. This had it's advantages because fellow students looked up to me and I was also elected as the First Female African American to Student Counsel. But at the end of the day when I wanted to really talk about food, the majority of my classmates were out partying…but that is all a part of college, but when you go back to school at 36 years-old, you want a more quiet lifestyle. I do recommend this school for younger students because it is a good experience. Plus the chances of a young person right out of high school going to culinary school staying in the food industry is slim to none. Most of the time they are in for a few years then move on to bigger and better things. I just did mine backwards. I was involved in bigger and better things, then I went to school later. |
