This school is located in a somewhat ghetto shopping center which made me worry when I first went in for an appointment with the financial department. The financial department had/has one incompetent female giraffe working there which gave me a complete nightmare in the beginning. She didn't know what she was doing and would constantly over charge me and my mom (I was on a parent subsidized loan also) until finally we made a formal complaint about her and were switched to a more competent financial savvy admin. Then there is the "Pharmacy Teacher". She would lecture more than give actual hands on or lab opportunities. When you get to the real world, technicians are NOT legally allowed to counsel patients. She should have allowed us to get more lab time in and prepare us better for what a real pharmacy is like. There are a few other (or were) competent teachers there who work part-time and will give you help you need. Most of the general education teachers don't know how to teach or deal with students. The handful that do know how to teach are wanted by every department so its a lottery on whether or not you'll actually get one of these teachers. What this school doesn't tell you is that there are a lot of pharmacies that pay b.s. amounts hourly ($10-13) and you can actually make a lot more money going into an administrative/secretarial field. Some other big pharmacies will pay around $15+ but they also work you to the bone to the point of exhaustion. The one thing I do like is that the degree you get is good as a fall back if you're considering going into another profession that may or may not pan out too well - such as the arts. The tuition goes up every year (especially now that they're in a newly constructed building still attached to the mall).
