As a student of the Broad College of Business, I am really happy with my decision to come to MSU. I feel that I was able to get a quality education and made lifelong friends in the process.

To me college is more than just studying for a career. It is about learning about yourself and the environment around you. What I really loved about Michigan State was the camaraderie between everyone at the school. It was almost as if we were a big family. All of us come from different places and different backgrounds, but we are all Spartans.

The school itself has a really big campus with many students. Perhaps the biggest shock was walking into a lecture that was twice the size of my graduating class. Don't be surprised if you have at least 500 people in your 100 level courses. The classes get smaller as you progress through college. There are many different resources to help you through the first few years so you shouldn't be too overwhelmed.

One of the advantages of having a large student body is having many different organizations and extracurriculars. I am a member of 4 different organizations and regularly attend sporting events. The party and bar scene is better than any college I have been to. With fun parties, attractive girls, and a great downtown, East Lansing is an amazing college town. Even if you aren't much of a party person, there are many other concerts, sporting events, and other activities to go to.

Attending sporting events are among the top things to do at MSU. Football, Basketball and hockey are the top events to go to. Izzone basketball tickets are the hottest tickets on campus, our hockey team recently won the national championship, and our football team is poised to make a turnaround with a new head coach.

Overall, coming to Michigan State was the best decision I ever made. This institution has given so much to me that I cannot thank them enough. I learned more than just finance or accounting principle. I learned more about myself and about those around me. Even though I might leave East Lansing when I graduate, I will be a Spartan for life like many others. If you are at another part of the country wearing Michgan State clothing, don't be surprised if you hear someone yell GO GREEN!
