I knew about the rules and did pretty much what I was told. The reason for the negative comment is the fact that I had a hard time finding employment after leaving Pensacola. I started applying for jobs from the summer before my Senior year and didn't find anything until 2 months after graduation. Many of the responses I received were that the school I was attending was not accredited and they didn't recognize the degree. Finally I landed a job and my boss told me that it was due to my strong interviewing skills that he hired me. He told me that he would've just filed my resume in the trash can, but one of his employees recommended me. I no longer work for that company, and now have enough years in the field that the degree doesn't matter anymore. My advice for all future business majors. Go to a University with an established business program. It will make a difference when you go out to the real world. I didn't get my interview skills from Pensacola. I took a year of classes outside of PCC and took classes geared toward interviewing and business writing. If it weren't for that, I'd probably be working in a factory. If you do end up going to PCC, make sure you have a good internship lined up with a company that will consider you for employment after graduation.Good Luck and e-mail me any questions. |
