First off, ASU is for two types of people: California kids who are too dumb to get into UCSB and got waitlisted at San Diego State andKids from the Phoenix/Tempe/Mesa area who are taking care of sick parents or can't afford to move out. You're going to find that most of the student body is composed of the kind of people most normal people don't think are college material. Yeah, there are some pretty smart people, but they're few and far between. If you're absolutely stuck going to ASU, for God's sake try to get into the Honors College. At least there's a filter for stupidity there. It won't feel like Harvard, but at least you won't feel like the smartest kid in class 100% of the time anymore. Also, make sure you're majoring something that will get you a decent job after graduation. Majors like accounting, engineering, hard sciences (like chem, bio, physics), nursing, mathematics, finance will not only challenge you, but are impressive, even for an ASU degree. A communications or psych BA from ASU isn't worth the paper it's printed on. |
