Warning: do not choose your college or university based on finances. Finances are important, but its not worth your time to get a piece of paper you're not proud of or can't do anything with. I have met some of my best friends on campus (some of which are no longer here due to rules and getting kicked out). Basically, the rules suck and sometimes (ok, most of the time), you feel like a preschooler around the parents. You either learn to get over the rules or get around them—one way or the other. I understand that most of the rules are in place because a few people did something incredibly stupid, but some of the rules seem to be there to be stupid. Also, the D.A.'s (Dean's Assistants) sometimes are very partial in who they write up. There is also the handful of pricks who aspire to be floorleaders some day and do nothing but write people up for anything and everything (I've had my run-ins), e-mail me if you want to find out more. Basically, a good academic experience within a rotten social life. There's more than one college in the country—choose carefully. |
